Heather Huston

Heather Huston (Calgary, Alberta, Canada) holds an MFA from the University of Alberta and is an Assistant Professor of Printmaking at the Alberta College of Art and Design where she is currently the Associate Chair of the School of Visual Art. She recently mounted a solo exhibition titled Dream City, Dreams at Prodajna galerija Beograd in Serbia. She has exhibited widely in national and international group exhibitions including Resonance: Canadian Printmaking Exhibition in Beijing, China and Incisioni al Feminile at Atelier Controsegno in Naples, Italy. Her work is in the collection of several major institutions including Purdue University Galleries and the Fogg Art Museum. Her upcoming exhibition The Body, Stranger opened in 2016 at the Vernon Public Art Gallery (British Columbia, Canada) and featured new figurative works related to the body's resiliency and failure in the face of chronic illness.
