James Syme

James Syme (Pearce, Arizona) has been working in photography for over thirty years as an artist, photojournalist and master printer.  While living in Philadelphia from 1990 to 2006, James began pursuing his long-lived passion for photographing water in the environment, concentrating on the waterways that nurture and enrich the land and lives of the Philadelphia metro area. Presently the artist is working on photographing the desert agave in his new home of Arizona.

Syme has published and exhibited both regionally and nationally. His work can be found in many private collections as well as in the Print and Picture Collection of the Free Library of Philadelphia.
