Jeffrey Stockbridge
Jeffrey Stockbridge (Philadelphia, PA) is a photographer that pursues multi-year location specific projects documenting urban blight. Upon finishing his Undergraduate Degree at Drexel University in 2005, he placed runner up in the New York Times Magazine “Capture the Times” college photography contest. Stockbridge is a recipient of a 2019 Guggenheim Foundation Fellowship, Pennsylvania Council on the Arts Grant, Independence Foundation Fellowship in the Arts Grant and a Center For Emerging Visual Artists Fellowship. His work has been exhibited nationally and internationally at The National Portrait Gallery London, The Wapping Project Bankside, The Philadelphia Museum of Art, The Institute of Contemporary Art at the University of Pennsylvania, The Fleisher Art Memorial, The Delaware Art Museum, and Galerie Huit in Arles, France. Recent awards include 3rd Prize in the 2010 Taylor-Wessing Photographic Portrait Prize at The National Portrait Gallery in London. Stockbridge lives and works in Philadelphia, PA.
