Thom Lessner

Thom Lessner (Philadelphia, PA) is a painter and printmaker best known for his stylized drawings of rock bands and colorful portraits of cultural icons.

Born and raised in Columbus, OH, Lessner came to Philadelphia without any formal artistic training or experience. He joined the artist's collective Space 1026 to skateboard and it was there that he first began to paint, draw and screenprint. In 2001, Thom was convinced by Paul Green of The Paul Green School of Rock to quit his day job and make his living by designing & printing rock school posters and doing art jobs. Since then he’s done work for Enjoi Skateboards, Snickers Candy, Warner Brothers, Autumn Skateshop, Toyota and Obey. His work has appeared in a number of publications including Thrasher, Vice, Swindle and Spin.
