Space 1026

Founded in 1997, Space 1026 (Philadelphia, PA) is a collaborative silkscreen-based community. While there have been a number of dynamic collectives in the Philadelphia art community, none have had the sustained vitality and energy of Space 1026. The roster of artist members has continuously evolved over the collective’s history, but several of the founding members still remain.

Artist members of Space 1026 exhibit their works individually (a number have exhibited internationally), and work collaboratively to create ambitious and diverse installations. Space 1026 has exhibited twice at the Institute of Contemporary Art, Philadelphia, as well as at the Yerba Buena Center for the Arts, San Francisco and the DUMBO Arts Center, Brooklyn. In 2010 they created an elaborate installation at The Print Center.
